Visiting Scholar
- Visited to the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Sweden, under the Linnaeus-Palme Teacher Exchange Program for three weeks in 2022. During the visit, I conducted special lectures for the master students, presented some research output, and participated in a number of seminars and discussions.
- Visited to the Department of Geography at the Lacked University, Canada, for one year in 2011/2012. During the visit, I familiarized the pedagogical process of the Department of Geography, presented a research paper in the mode of postal presentation at the departmental level research forum and won the best presentation award, carried out a joint research paper with Prof. T. Randall and presented it at Canadian Association of Geographers annual meeting in Waterloo, Canada in May 2012.

- Served as Anchor Reviewer of Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development Program (AHEAD) of the Ministry of Higher Education to review and submit the reports of the Departmental proposals of the Departments of Geography of the Universities of Ruhuna and Sri Jeyawarthanapura. – 2019.
- Served as Program Reviewer of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to review three different degree programs offered by the University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya, Rajaratta University and University of Moratuwa, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
- I contributed in translation of Generic terms of Geographical entities to Tamil language as required in standardization activities of Geographical names in Sri Lanka. The above program was conducted by the Survey Department of Sri Lanka with the help of United Nation Group of Expert on Geographical Names (UNGEGN).
- Served as Principle Proposal Writer for the Innovatory Development Grant for Arts students(IDAS) under the Higher Education for the Twenty – First Century (HETC project)-2013-2014.
